Please continue to faithfully support the church financially with your tithes and offerings.\u00a0 You can give through the following ways:<\/strong><\/p>\n

1.During the Sunday Morning Worship Service, give your tithes and offerings using the offering plates.\u00a0 (A donation box is also available at the back of the sanctuary.)<\/p>\n

2.Drop off your tithes and offerings at the church office.\u00a0 360 Klutina, Valdez, AK<\/p>\n

3.Mail your tithes and offerings to the church\u2019s mailing address:\u00a0 PO Box 888, Valdez AK 99686.<\/p>\n

4.Online donation option.\u00a0 It is through Aplos, the financial software First Baptist Church currently uses. – Credit Card, Debit Card, ACH (bank transfer).<\/strong><\/p>\n

God has blessed each one of us.\u00a0 All that we have comes from God.\u00a0 We are stewards, and should wisely use whatever God has given us for His Honor and His Glory.<\/p>\n

How do we give?<\/p>\n

1.\u00a0 It should be planned and regular.\u00a0\u00a0 It is your responsibility to plan what you want to give.\u00a0 It is your decision.\u00a0 Not with a bad attitude, not under compulsion.\u00a0 God loves it when a person just loves to give to others.\u00a0 \u00a0By the way, in the Old Testament under the Law System there was 3 tithes.\u00a0 Each year everyone gave 10% to the temple for its upkeep.\u00a0 Another 10% to the priest.\u00a0 Then every third year they would give another 10% for the poor.<\/p>\n

Now because Jesus was the final sacrifice and the high priest, we aren\u2019t under a sacrificial system:\u00a0 there aren\u2019t tithes to support that system.\u00a0 We are under the offering system.<\/p>\n

We are to give as you purpose in your heart.\u00a0 Not grudging.\u00a0 God loves a cheerful giver. You give whatever you choose.\u00a0 If you want to give 10% you can.\u00a0 If you want to give Biblical like those in the Old Testament then give 20%.\u00a0 If you want to give more, great.<\/p>\n

2. It should be consistent.\u00a0 We are to give regularly.\u00a0 Your motive for giving is three-fold:\u00a0 a.\u00a0 An act of love. For God and others.<\/p>\n

b.\u00a0 An act of worship. You are worshiping God through giving.<\/p>\n
